Lois Hutchens Woods, age 75, of Chester, VA, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2007. She was born in Bedford County, VA the daughter of the late Carroll and Bessie Gross Hutchens. Mrs. Woods was an active member of the Chester United Methodist Church for approximately 45 years. She is survived by her husband John M. Woods; sons, Michael Dean Woods of Colonial Heights, VA and John Keith Woods and wife Lynda Jayne of Chester; grandson, Alex Woods of Chester; and sisters, Irma Hutchens Clouh and husband George of TX., Nell Hutchens Wilson and husband Lea of Richmond, VA and Joyce Hutchens Abshire of Roanoke, VA. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 4 to 6 p.m. with funeral services following at 6 p.m. Interment will take place on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. in Walnut Grove Church Cemetery, Montvale, VA.
