Lois Hutchens Woods, age 75, of Chester, VA, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2007. She was born in Bedford County, VA the daughter of the late Carroll and Bessie Gross Hutchens. Mrs. Woods was an active member of the Chester United Methodist Church for approximately 45 years. She is survived by her husband John M. Woods; sons, Michael Dean Woods of Colonial Heights, VA and John Keith Woods and wife Lynda Jayne of Chester; grandson, Alex Woods of Chester; and sisters, Irma Hutchens Clouh and husband George of TX., Nell Hutchens Wilson and husband Lea of Richmond, VA and Joyce Hutchens Abshire of Roanoke, VA. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 4 to 6 p.m. with funeral services following at 6 p.m. Interment will take place on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. in Walnut Grove Church Cemetery, Montvale, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association – Greater Richmond Chapter, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Dear John and Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Lois was a wonderful church helper who was always ready to pitch in and help to get whatever needed to get done done. Chester United Methodist Church will really miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To John and the family of Lois.
It has been such a blessing to have a friend like Lois. Just ask her and she would get it done; whether it was church, the prayer group or family needs. Her belief in God and kindness to all is a light still shining for us. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.
