Mabel Louise Purcell, age 97, of Chester, VA, died on Saturday, February 10, 2007. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of the late William and Susie Rogers Woods. She is survived by two daughters, Shirely A. Parrish of Chester, and Jeanne P. Mapp of Williamsburg, VA; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. Arrangements are being conducted by the J. T.
