Kump, James Sr.

James Kump, Sr., 90, of Prince George County, beloved husband of Lydia, departed on his journey on Tuesday, January 30, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Kump, Sr. and Mary Nedvyet Kump; sons, James Kump, Jr. and William Burnett Kump; siblings, Mike, Joseph, Frank, Jr., and Karel Kump, Mary Wolf and Ann Kvasnicka. He was a member of Church of Sacred Heart where he served as an usher and was a retired auto mechanic who in his final working years served as a sharp shooting mechanic for Crater District Area On Aging. Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ann Kump Flynn (Britton); grandchildren, Dustin B. Kump (DeAnn), Desiree Renee Kump, Erin Flynn Watson (Edward) and Britton Flynn, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Dustin B. Kump, Jr., Brooke and Kirstin Kump; brothers, Robert Kump (Betty) and Charles Kump (Barbara); sister, Josephine Kump Vinsh (Robert) and numerous nieces and nephews. A wake service will be held at the Church of Sacred Heart on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 7 pm with a visitation to follow. A mass of the resurrection will be held on Friday, February 2nd at 11 am at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of Sacred Heart Building Fund, 4415 County Drive Petersburg, VA 23805. Lydia and Aunt Josephine, My thoughts are with you during this time of your sadness. I hope you find comfort in knowing Jimmy is not suffering any longer. Lydia: What can I say - my heart goes out to you and your family on your loss. Please know that you have been and will remain in my thoughts and prayers. He has gone to a better place where there is no more suffering or pain. He will always be in you heart. Please know that I am only a phone call away if I can do anything for you or just need to talk with someone who has gone through what you are going through.

Please accept my sincere condolences.Saw this on the internet. Just wanted to acknowledgs your loss. Brought back memories of the "Old Station"
and "DOG HILL" days. Bob I am living in Philly now. My thoughts are with you all.
