Stevens, Joyce R.

Joyce R. Stevens, age 74, of Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 12, 2007. She was born in Richmond, VA, the daughter of the late William I. and Sarah Wells Blackburn. She had attended Lee University and studied towards a degree in Missionary Ministry. Mrs. Stevens was a member of the Church of God for approximately 44years, and a resident of Chesterfield for 32 years. She is survived by three children, Marian L. Craft, James E. Craft, both of Chester, VA, and Linda D. Clark and husband Ray of Tunnel Hill, GA; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Lee, Jason, Derrick, Sheree`, Miranda, and Junior; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hughie Blackburn and wife Evelyn, Kenneth Blackburn, and Douglas Blackburn and wife Ruth, all of Chesterfield; and one sister, Marie Simmons, of Whiteville, NC. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield, VA on Sunday, January 14, 2007 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held there on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow on Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
