Hampton, Margaret E.

Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Margaret E. “Libby” Hampton, 78, of Chesterfield departed this life on January 7, 2007 after a brief illness. She was a resident of Lucy Corr Village in Chesterfield County at the time of her death. She was the widow of James B. Hampton, Sr. She is survived by her children, Deborah C. Joyner and husband, Donald, Sr. of Colonial Heights, VA., Reverend James B. Hampton, Jr. and wife, Tammie of Tallahassee, FL, and Theresa H. Alley and husband, Mark of Chesterfield, VA; grandchildren, Donald B. “Benji” Joyner, Jr., Kimberly Mayton, Matthew Alley, Christopher Joyner, Shannon Hampton; great-grandson, Justin; siblings, Day Burkett, Reba Jean Hubble and Marie Sanford. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service tonight from 6 to 8 pm. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 10th at 2 pm in Southlawn Memorial Park officiated by her son, Reverend James B.
