Sheffield, Scott M.

Scott Madison Sheffield, 51, of Matoaca died Friday, December 15, 2006 at his residence. Scott was a fire suppression and prevention technician with MCV/VCU Health Systems and dedicated years of service in the Chesterfield County Fire Department as a volunteer and Firefighter. He was also the proprietor of Hardy & Sheffield Photography Studio. He is survived by his wife Karen Mann Sheffield; a son Corey Madison Sheffield; his mother and father, Nancy and Charles M. Sheffield; two brothers Carl Sheffield and Barry Roger Sheffield and his wife Gerie; two nieces Chelsea and Naedine Sheffield; and a nephew Chris Cimburke. The family will receive friends today, December 17th from 6 to 8 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 pm at the funeral home with interment to follow in East Matoaca Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Crater Community Hospice or the Massey Cancer Center. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com

Karen and Corey, I just saw this and thought I would post something. Over the years we had great fun. Scott was one of my best friends and I have missed him over the past year. We live just down the road from you and Corey,so hope to be seeing you soon.

We are so sorry to here of Scott's passing. Even though I hadn't seen him in a while he was always in my thoughts & prayers. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories of his life. He was such a great guy and will be greatly missed. Even though we know that he is no longer in pain and is in a wwonderful place it doesn't make it any easier.

Karen,

I just used two pictures that Scott had taken of my family in 1993 in my mother's memorial video 10 days ago. I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of Scott. We go way back---walking to Ettrick Elementary together. It doesn't seem right to lose someone at such a young age. May you find comfort in your memories and knowing that you are surrounded by friends who care for you. My sincerest condolences,

You and Corey are always in my prayers.. "Cot" will be missed by all...he put up a brave fight and now he is in a much better place. I am so glad I had the opportunity to be one of his friends and to meet you and Corey...We will keep in touch for sure. God Bless.
