Branch E. Berry, 88, of Petersburg, passed away Friday December 8, 2006. He was predeceased by his parents Jesse & Eugenia Berry, his wife, Margaret R. Berry, brothers; Jesse & Hunter Berry, sister; Lois Kirkland, and a special friend Sallie Traylor. He was the former co owner of Cawthorn’s Exxon Station in Petersburg, Virginia, was a member of AARP, Washington Street United Methodist Church, and the Young at Heart. He is survived by three sons; Robert B. Berry & wife Donna of Portsmouth, Dennis G. Berry & wife Kim of Alexander, Arkansas, Bryan W. Berry, of Chesterfield County, two brothers; Eugene Berry & wife Ann of Chesterfield County, Hartwell Berry of Chesterfield County, and Thelma Berry of Colonial Heights; four grandchildren; Hunter Berry, Pamela Berry, Robert Berry Jr. & Alison Bywater, six great-grandchildren, six nieces & one nephew. The family will receive friends Monday December 11, 6:00-8:00 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service where a funeral service will be conducted Tuesday December 12, 2:00 PM with Pastor Larry Wood of Washington United Methodist Church officiating, entombment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George County.
