Branch E. Berry, 88, of Petersburg, passed away Friday December 8, 2006. He was predeceased by his parents Jesse & Eugenia Berry, his wife, Margaret R. Berry, brothers; Jesse & Hunter Berry, sister; Lois Kirkland, and a special friend Sallie Traylor. He was the former co owner of Cawthorn’s Exxon Station in Petersburg, Virginia, was a member of AARP, Washington Street United Methodist Church, and the Young at Heart. He is survived by three sons; Robert B. Berry & wife Donna of Portsmouth, Dennis G. Berry & wife Kim of Alexander, Arkansas, Bryan W. Berry, of Chesterfield County, two brothers; Eugene Berry & wife Ann of Chesterfield County, Hartwell Berry of Chesterfield County, and Thelma Berry of Colonial Heights; four grandchildren; Hunter Berry, Pamela Berry, Robert Berry Jr. & Alison Bywater, six great-grandchildren, six nieces & one nephew. The family will receive friends Monday December 11, 6:00-8:00 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service where a funeral service will be conducted Tuesday December 12, 2:00 PM with Pastor Larry Wood of Washington United Methodist Church officiating, entombment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George County. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Washington Street United Methodist Church 22 East Washington Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com

I will never forget all the good times we had working together at the garage. Berry was the best role model for me.

Branch was a wonderful neighbor and a true friend. He was always willing to help, and always a gentleman. He will be greatly missed.
