Basham, James A.

James Albert Basham, age 69, of Richmond, VA passed away on December 4, 2006. He was born in Hinton, WV the son of the late Albert and Lena Basham. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Basham. He is survived by his wife, Irene R. Basham; daughters, Lena C. Basham of Chester, VA, Barbara Waybright of Ashland, VA, Vickie Callis of Louisa, VA; sons, Larry Basham of Mechanicsville VA, Doug Basham of WV, Mike Basham of Richmond and Eddy Basham of Ashland; 12 grandchildren, B.J., Shawn, Justin, Zach, Alexis, Michael, Terry, April, Jonathan, Chad, Chase and Jarod; eight great grandchildren, Skylar, Trevor, Trent, Darcy, Aiden, Crystal, Jessica and Cassidy; and one brother, Cecil Basham of Harlan, IN. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation service on Thursday, December 7, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will follow there on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions are made to the American Diabetes Association, 530 E. Main St. Suite 200 Richmond, VA 23219.
