Lowry, James M.

James Monroe Lowry, 77, of Chester died on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Johnston Willis Hospital. He was the son of the late Richard A. and Bertie Lowry and the husband of Betty R. Lowry. He was a retired SFC (E-7) from the United States Army after 22 years of service and saw service in Vietnam. He was also a retired letter carrier with the U. S. Postal Service. He is also survived by a son, Raymond M. Lowry and wife, Dawana of Chesterfield, VA; step-daughters, Marlyn S. Barrett and husband, Charles of Taylorsville, NC and Patricia Sarles and husband, Dale of Smithfield, VA; several grandchildren, three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a private graveside service at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors at a later date. The Chesterfield Chapel of J.T.
