Condolences

Percy, how fondly I remember the first year I knew you and Shirley when you were a junior at Dinwiddie High School and I was a new, wet-behind-the-ears teacher. Seeing you both together again at a recent school reunion helped me to understand how blessed you both have been to have lived and raised your family together over some fifty years in your home community. Bill and I were so distressed to learn only yesterday of your and your family's great loss, and we want you to know of our love and caring. Sincerely,
Bill and Mary Holloway

I am so sorry for your loss and want all of the
family to know that knowing Shirley over the years
was a blessing to me.
She was such a caring and loving
person with a gentle spirit and she has passed that on to her children and grandchildren and all
who knew her. She touched so many lives in a special way. God bless you all!

My heart goes out to all of you....Shirley was the epitome of the beautiful, strong, southern matriarch! I adored her in the VERY short time I was priviledged to know her. Such a wonderful earthly angel, and I will always carry what I learned from her with me. Thank you for sharing her with Kevin and I. You will all be in our prayers, as always.

Percy and Family,

So sorry to hear about the passing of your wife. My prayers are with you and your family at this time. I know what you are going through as you probably remember when my father (James Seay) passed away 10 years ago. I still think about him all the time. Please take care.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of great loss. We loved Shirley so much and were so thankful for all the love and support she showed Nanny and Pa (Ruth and Chestley Cowling) while they were still alive. Shirley was so fortunate to have health and the adventure of travel up until the end of her physical life. I can see her riding that train in heaven! She was always so full of adventure. Our love to you! Michelle and CT
