Mary Antonia Vinsh Blazek, 97, of Dinwiddie County, widow of Charles Albert Blazek, passed away Monday, October 23, 2006. Born in Gernik, Romania, she was the daughter of the late Bartholomew and Antonia Mezera Vinsh. Mrs. Blazek loved gardening, her family and friends, and was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rose B. Uzel. Survivors include her brother, Robert Vinsh of North Carolina; sister, Theresa Blaha of Petersburg; grandchildren, Rosemary Feddo of Chester and Caroline Fowler and husband, Bob of Midlothian, and Mark Uzel and wife, Sara of Arlington; great-grandchildren, Chris Jennings and wife, Malynda, Peter Feddo, Alex, Hanna, and Eric Fowler, Mallory and Camille Uzel; great-great-grandson, Charles Jennings; dear friend, Dorothy Brockwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, October 26, with a Christian wake service at 7 PM, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, New Bohemia. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, at the church, with Father Jay Wagner, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
