Jo-Ann,
Please know that Tom and I are thinking about you at this difficult time. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there in person, but between all the activities I was shuttling the kids to, I couldn't make it to the viewing. Jim was always such a fun person to be around and one that would encourage you with laughter. I will remember our many vacations at Lake Gaston together. One time in particular stands out to me. I rode with Jim to the lake and we stopped at his parent's house. His dad gave me some grapes and I ate them all the way to the lake. Jim laughed as I spit the seeds out the window and we talked to the truckers all the way down to the lake. He will be missed greatly.
God Bless,
Christy Powell
Jim was always a voice of sanity and reason in an environment sometimes plagued by petty anger and confusion. He always set a positive example, never yielding to childish antics of those whose sense of mission was overcome by their personal agendas. He was steadfast, a mountain of character and an inspiration to us all. He will be sorely missed and we all do honor to his memory by continuing as he would have.
Jo-Ann,
Jim was without a doubt one of the finest people I have ever met! He was a real gentleman and was always willing to assist when needed. I really enjoyed talking to him on the repeater during my constant trips to Northern Virginia. Jim will be sorely missed!

To The Family;
I only met Jim a couple of times, but he left an impression that I will never forget. He was one of the finest men that I have ever known, and it was an honor for me to have known him.
He was an inspiration to all of us with VA RACES. Jim was a true leader, and a great Ham. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Jo-ann, we certainly express our sympathy to you and all the family. We know Jim will be missed by you, but we pray that you will find peace in knowing that he now has a place in the Lord's House.
Jim "Jimbo" will also be missed by all his friends that enjoyed being around him and his humorist wit. Jim will be missed by all that received messages he sent daily with many of them lifting the spirits of those receiving them.
Jim has always been there and took time to help anyone that he could. Jim was known by all that knew him as a "Special Friend."
He set an example for all to live by and now will reside where he can help many.

Jimbo... I will truely miss you!! Some of the best times I had as a ham were at the fishing club with you. We both were so amazed at how long that crazy toad lasted that Brittany captured and loved so dearly. I remember you telling her to take care of her new pet and go show daddy... LOL... Thanks!
Well, I know you are in heaven now with toadie.. Take care of each other and think of those days at the club with your friends and loved ones.
God Bless.

I am going to miss the big guy. His humor, wit and charm. We would discuss many friends at the phone company when he was a John Hancock salesman.
Wish that I would have gotten a chance to talk to him Saturday at the bazzar at church. He keep the United Methodist Men together while serving as president. Going to miss him cooking chicken also. Now he is totally healed and with his Father.
We are sorry to hear about the loss of Jim Clark '63. We will be praying for the family that he left behind.

Jo-Ann,
My heart was so saddened when I heard of you loosing Jim. He always struck me as a power of strength and a friend to all. Jim enjoyed life and had such a wonderful sense of humor -- finding a joke at every opportuity.
Please accept my most since sympathy for you and the whole family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jo-ann and the entire Clark family. I have know Jim since 1981 when I moved to the Beulah area from New York. I moved away from Beulah to Midlothian in 1986 and have been involved with Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. I remember Jim as a very nice and kind person who everyone liked. He was the first person in Virginia I met who really was a fan of VA TECH. As it turned out our boys Tim and Kevin both went to VA TECH and are avid fans just like Jim was. I have become a strong fan also after my boys went to TECH. Jim will be missed by the Beulah Church and by his beloved family. The world is a better place because Jim was here.

As I took Jim to see Phil after his surgery I had a wonderful oportunity to spend some time with him on the trip. He was an easy man to talk to about any subject. I will greatly miss those oportunities.
My condolences to Jim's family....
Uncle Jimmy,
Wow where do I begin......You are an inspriation, a great uncle, a wonderful teacher, and also a great friend. You are loved so much. We will miss you!!!!
Cindy and Trevor
Jim was one of the kindest, honest and most generous gentlemen I ever had the privaledge to know. I wish I had taken more time to spend with him, to know him at all was to have him as your friend.
I will miss his self deprecating sense of humor, his gentle spirit and his generous kindness. He will always be a mentor to me as how a gentleman, a husband and a father should be.
With deepest sympathy,
Patrick
Jo-Ann,
Our Hearts and pryers go out to you and the family. At times like this it's hard to know what to say except we are very sorry to hear about Jim. He was a very good man and will be missed by so many.
My grandson will always remember the spirited banter every Sunday morning - "Go Hokies!" - "No! Go Wahoos!". We will all miss you, Jim. You were a brave man and a great friend.
