Carter, Gary L.

Gary Lee Carter, 52, of Georgia passed away Monday, October 16, 2006 at his residence. A native of Petersburg, he had moved to Georgia in 1989 and made his residence there since then. He was the son of Dorothy Hawks Carter and the late Henry Thomas Carter. He was predeceased by an older brother, Thomas Earl Carter. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, David L. Warren, Jr.; a sister, Peggy Warren Akins and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a dear friend, Joe Whelan of Georgia. A memorial service will be held at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Saturday, October 21 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Henry Butler officiating.
