Carelock, Emory H.

Emory Harold Carelock, 80, of Hopewell, VA passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006, at John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in Macon, GA, but has lived most of his life in Hopewell. Mr. Carelock was the son of the late James H. and Mattie Belle Carelock and stepson of the late Allen L. Redd. He was a member of West End Presbyterian Church and a retired Group Leader in the Control Laboratory of Hercules, Inc. Mr. Carelock is survived by his wife, Annie Lockey Carelock and one son, Harold Franklin Carelock both of Hopewell, two brothers, Charles V. Carelock and his wife Joanne of Petersburg, VA, Robert H. Carelock and his wife Elaine of Peachtree City, GA, a sister-in-law, Myrtle Carelock of Hopewell, two sisters, Hilda Carelock Hazelwood of Hopewell and Evelyn Carelock Harrison and her husband Calvin of Midlothian, VA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 26, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
