Wood, Harold Edison, Jr.

Harold Edison Wood, Jr., age 76, of Chester, VA, died on Sunday, September 24, 2006. He was born in Richmond, VA, the son of the late Harold E., Sr. and Ruth Perkins Wood. Mr. Wood was an avid golfer, talented pianist, carpenter, and enjoyed playing billiards. He had an acute ability to create things with his hands and could do most anything he set his mind to. He is survived by three children, Douglas H. Wood and Kimberlee S. Wood, both of Richmond, VA, and Sharon Ruth Rayne of Willards, MD; one brother, William T. Wood of Richmond; one sister, Jane Wood Paden of Berwyn, PA; a devoted companion, Harriet M. Sink of Chester; and two grandsons, Zachary D. Wood of Richmond, and Peyton D. Rayne of Willards, MD. A memorial service will be held in honor of Mr. Wood on Sunday, October 1, 2006, 2:00 p.m. at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield.
