Gouyer, Jr. Clarence D.

Clarence Duval Gouyer, Jr., 76 of Church Road, VA died September 22, 2006 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was the son of the late Clarence D. Gouyer, Sr and Madeline T. Gouyer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and the American Legion #284. Clarence was the owner of Petersburg Auto Radiator Service for 41 years. He is survived by his wife Rose S. Gouyer; five sons, Clarence D. Gouyer, III of Colonial Heights, Michael D. Gouyer (Charle’) of Enon, John A. Gouyer of Amelia, Paul V. Gouyer (Mary Lou) of Amelia and Anthony J. Gouyer (Michele) of California; two daughters, Christine M. Childress (Samuel) of Dinwiddie and Lisa A. Hughes (Daniel) of Glen Allen; two sisters, Elizabeth M. Campbell of Petersburg and Donna K. Valkenburg (Michael) of West Virginia; nine grandchildren, three nieces and nephews, and one great-nephew. A Christian Wake Service will be held Monday, September 25 at 7pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Dinwiddie, VA interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church, Squirrel Level Road, Dinwiddie, VA. 23841. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
