Roberson, W. Douglas

W. Douglas Roberson, 77, of Hopewell, VA. son of the late Charles F. and Roda D. Roberson passed away September 14, 2006. Doug is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anita S. Roberson, and three daughters Carol McCutcheon (husband Don) of Chesapeake, VA., Nancy Webb (husband Bruce) of Lexington, KY., and Linda Link(husband Rick) of Arnold, MD., four grandchildren Erin and Daniel Webb and Eric and Carl Link;and one brother Donald C. Roberson of Niagara Falls, NY. He was predeceased by his brother David F. Roberson. Doug was a 1951 graduate of Cornell University, B.S. in Chemical Engineering, and retired after 36 years with Hercules, Inc. in 1986. Doug was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell, VA, serving as Elder and organist. He was a former member of Hopewell Jaycees. There will be a memorial service held Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church of Hopewell at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends at the church following the service.
