Uzel, Tony J.

Tony Joseph Uzel, 88, of Richmond died Wednesday, September 13, 2006. He was born in Dinwiddie County, son of the late Frank and Mary Uzel. He was a Veteran of the U.S Navy and served his country in World War II. Tony loved the River, fishing, bowling and teaching water-skiing. He is survived by his three daughters Linda Maclin (John), Martha Uzel (Neal), and Patricia Lundquist; six grandchildren Candace Gresham, Tyler Maclin, Shelly Dietrich (John), Alex Maclin, Ginnie Maclin, and Carrie Lundquist; and former wife Evelyn Uzel. The family will receive friends Friday night at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, September 16th at 2 PM at St. John’s Catholic Church, Dinwiddie. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to McGuire’s Hospice, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA, 23249. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com

Trish, Carrie, Martha and the entire family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. I will always remember all your wonderful, full of life stories about your times together with your father/grandfather. I know from the time I met him and the wonderful things I always heard, he was a kind and caring man and I am sure he will be missed greatly. May God be with your entire family, give you comfort and keep you strong.
