Blankenship, Margaret L.

Margaret Lane Blankenship of Chester, formally of Ettrick, entered into eternal rest on 29 August, 2006. Born August 6, 1922 in Charlotte County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Colie and Kate Lane. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Blankenship. Mrs. Blankenship retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company after over 30 years of service. She is survived by her daughters, Kay Braswell and husband, Ralph, Ann Blankenship and Susan Lewis and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Jennifer Ferguson, Amanda MacNeil, Stephen MacNeil, Trent Braswell and Jason Braswell; great-granddaughter, Jessica Ferguson; sister-in-law, Katherine Bowery; niece, Peggy Anderson and husband, Lawrence; and other nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 10 AM Friday, September 1, at Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T.
