Mildred Tross Doyle will celebrate her 89th birthday in heaven. She departed this life on August 21, 2006. She was the daughter of Kenneth Lake Hoyle and Lena Gertrude Clark. “Nannie Millie” was born September 24, 1917 in Ettrick, Virginia. She was preceded in death by two husbands; Elmo A. Tross and Lloyd O. Doyle; daughter, Rose Marie Tross; son-in-law, William Hamilton; brother, George Lee Hoyle; and sisters; Edith E. Vance, Sarah Lee Hoyle and Gloria M. Blick. Survivors include, two daughters, Particia T. Hamilton and Pamela T. Vaughan and husband, Johnny; one son, Donald Tross and wife, Mary Ann; eight grandchildren, Pam Townsend and husband, Paul; Steve Tross and wife, Janie; Tammie Webb and husband, Doug; Donna Robins and husband, Terry; Cammie Rose Sink and husband, Tommy; T. Brett Hamilton and wife, Kim; Joshua and Jonathan Vaughan; and one brother, Jerry Hoyle and wife, Phyllis. Nannie Millie is also survived by great grandchildren, loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. She was a member of West End Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 25, from 7 to 8:30pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Austust 26, at 2:00 PM in Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com.

We are sorry to hear about Mildred. She was like a grandmother to me.I always enjoyed her visits to Mary Ann and Donalds.She was a great person. I know she is with our Lord.I will miss her.
