Loreitta, Allen, & Teresa, we really feel your loss, and you are all in our prayers. Melvin was such a good friend to all of our family during our time in Virginia. He had such a wonderful sense of humor, and it was always a joy to talk with him. He will really be missed by all who knew him. Love in Christ to all of you. Glenn & Cindy Asher

Loreitta and family. Just learned of your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of sorrow. We all know that he is now at true peace and we now are awaiting our time to join him and all our loved ones at the feet of our Master. Bea often speaks fondly of the years they were at Carson St. and how much all of you meant to them. These are the times that our faith means so much to us. We ask for God's blessing on all of you.

Loreitta ,Alan,Teresa and girls, when a death happens so fast it is such a shock.Remember all those good memories and they help ease the pain of now and the future. He has gone to the reward that he lived his life for. In service to God and the church, take comfort in this. May God bless you and give you extra strength and comfort .

Loreitta & Allen and family,

Juanita just sent the news of Melvin's passing to us here in Argentina. We are so sorry to hear about it and know how hard this is for all of you. We will be praying for God's comfort and strength to be with each of you.

We remember so well the encouragement you were to us as we were planning to get married some 33 years ago. We still can almost taste the steaks that Melvin made for us on the grill. Thank you for all you have done and are doing in the Kingdom.

May God bless and comfort you all at this time. We know we will be with him again in heaven.
Love,
Glen & Kathy Henton

Melvin was one of the elders at the Cawson St. church when I first came as a summer intern back in 1974. He and Loreitta were kind to me and to Gina in so many ways over the years.

I appreciate their faithfulness and service to God, and all that they have done for so many.

Please extend to sympathy to Loreitta, Allen & Teresa, Lauren & Caitlen, and to all the family in their loss.

As difficult as "loss" (of any sort) always is, regardless of our spiritual or philosophical beliefs, having children and grandchildren to pass on the "good" we do ... to segue our purpose on to further generations ... is a blessing not all have. May the light Lauren and Caitlen have brought to the world in some way lessen the darkness brought by Melvin's moving to his new existence ... in Jesus' care.
