Hope you don’t mind me asking this b/c I have no other way to contact you. Can you please tell me where you placed the tombstone so I can go visit. Did you do that....my main concern is I missed the funeral b/c I was out of town in school and I would like to visit him. I mean I thought you cremated the body, but either way I want to place flowers and a note down at his site. Thanks for understanding please email me back at qkslvrbabe5@comcast.net thanks
Im not trying to sound rude so please don't be offended if I asked in an Inappropriate way.
To the Powers family,
Jason was a great friend and a kind-hearted person. We had some good memories together and it is a shame that JP had to be taken from us so soon. All I know is that if JP was here today, we'd prolly be talking about that Trans AM of his. And he would be just as happy and content as usual. I know he is looking down from the heavens and watching over all of us. We love you JP. Benny.
Powers family,
I'm so sorry for you all as you go through this tough time. I knew Jason all throuhout high school, and he and some others were the reason why I ran Cross Country my senior year. I was one of the slowest on the team, but that didn't stop Jason and others from cheering me on whenever we were at a meet, or even in practice. He was one of the nicest guys I knew, and I will always remember those days at MHS. I'm sorry I couldn't be there at the funeral today to share those memories with you, but know that you are in my thoughts.

Powers family,
I am so sorry for your loss, and even sorrier that I can not attend today. Jason was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed spending time with him. He was a great aspect to our team in high school, where I hold so many memories, many of which include Jason. He will be greatly missed, as he had such an outstanding personality. Again, I am extremely sorry for your loss.
You are in my thoughts,
Elizabeth Severson-Irby
I had the pleasure of knowing Jason through high school, and am grateful that I was able to see him from time to time over the past few years. He was a wonderful person, and he will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to be acquainted with him.
Sincerely,
Melissa Smutek
I have known Jason since Grange Hall days. I remember watching him run the mile in gym and beating everyone, some things never change. Jason was such a kind and wonderful person. I will always remember running with him during Track and Cross Country in high school. He was so supportive and always happy. I know I will smile when I think of him and all of the memories we have shared. I feel blessed to have gotten to know such an amazing person. Jason will be missed greatly. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Amanda Uphoff (MHS Track and CC)

Jason and I first met during a Cingular Wireless training session. We continued to stay in contact and later became roommates. There was always a genuine and powerful presence whenever he entered a room. He was always there in time of need for his friends and even the unknown. Jason was the most caring individual I've ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with the Powers family and all that have been touched by this extraordinary individual.
With all my love,
Tamara Rand (Roommate)
Powers family,
Your son will always been in my thoughts and prayers. I met him when i first moved to Richmond about 3 years ago. We became instant friends and he always took care of me and introduced me to people. He is one of the kindest people i have ever met. He will never be forgotten and is in a better place now looking over everyone. Stay strong and know that he is always with you.
Sincerely,
Patton Stone
I will be praying for your family in this time of loss. I got to work with JP, hang out with him to talk about our cars and what was new with his trans-am and what he was doing with his life, and we even attended driving school together. He was always a joy to be around and i never caught him down in the dumps. I will always remember the funny, outgoing, and overall good friend that JP was to me. May God be with you all.
Powers Family,
I am very sorry to hear this troubling news about Jason. He was an amazing person with so much potential to do great things. I know the sting I feel in my heart for someone I knew years ago is nothing compared to the pain and grief you all are feeling right now, but please know that my sympathy goes out to you all and my prayers are with you.
God Bless,
Shelley Misiano (MHS CC/Track)
Jason will always be my first BEST friend and will always have a place in my heart. Although we grew apart because of college and "growing up" I'll never forget our days of being on Clover Hill teams playin a game of pitch and catch. My thoughts are with everyone in the family. I will miss him dearly but always hold onto the great memories I had with him.
With love

Jason, from the time I met you working at the good old YMCA to our math class we shared at VCU I will never forget the good times we shared. We shared, like most teenagers, the "hatred" and complaints of our job, our “oops” grade in math because we spent more time talking about cars than equations, and the late night laughter we had at your apartment. I will miss you greatly and my prayers and thoughts go out to your family. You were an incredible young man and I couldn’t have succeeded as much in life without your help. You always encouraged me and were there for me when I needed you. You were a great friend and everyone loved you. Thanks to your positive reinforcement I have been able to achieve my dreams because you always told me if your mind can imagine it then you can achieve it, it might just take a lot longer than you expected Boy you weren’t kidding. Well I wish I could write more, but I have a final for school I need to take in 5 min. and I know you would tell me school is very important, don’t mess it up because than you’ll have to repeat it and that’s no fun because it puts you further away from the money maker. As for eternity, you’ll always be remembered for the great, young spirited man you are. Love you as a brother always (so does your YMCA family). PS- Every time I see an old red camaro I think about the first time I met you at the Y, hope that was a camaro and not a firebird, but you know I always confused the muscle cars because I’m a modern important girl. I know you’ll never forget old yeller (fancy, yellow low rider Celica). Well, wish me luck on my final. Forever in my thoughts and prayers.
Love Julie Miller

This message is for Adam Powers, My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. Sincerely, Joyce
Adam,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I constantly pray that God will give you strength. If you turn to him he is waiting to help you carry this heavy load. I haven't known your brother long, but I still remember the first and last times that I saw him. I was saying something crazy and he was smiling. Keep that smile right in your heart and he will always be with you. Love you!
My heart is breaking for all the family and friends of this fine young man. Jason was well loved by many and a joy to know. Even though we didn't know him extremely well, my husband and I always enjoyed seeing him in the community and always talked about what a nice young man he was after any contact. May it help just a little knowing that you are in our thoughts and prayers and that our deepest sympathies are with you at this difficult time. We will all miss him so much!
With love and condolences,
Annette Marquard (mother of Mike Jensen)
