Guthrie, Henry L.

Henry Lewis Guthrie, age 79, of Chester, VA died Saturday, July 15, 2006. He was born in Roanoke, VA. He retired from Allied Chemical where he worked as a millwright in the Fibers Division. Mr. Guthrie was also a U. S. Army Veteran. He is survived by a wife of 57 years, Bernice Guthrie; three children, Sharon Guthrie, Henry L Guthrie, Jr. and wife Sherry, and Lisa Valvo and husband Mark; three grandchildren, Whitney Guthrie, Jenna Guthrie and Daniel Valvo, all of Chesterfield, VA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 20, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chesterfield J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service where funeral services will follow on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.
