Juanita Jeanette Stell Allen, 71, of Petersburg was taken suddenly Monday, July 17, 2006 along with her husband, Robert Linwood Allen. Juanita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who could always be found by her husband’s side. She was a kind and generous person who cherished time with her family. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Petersburg, retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company and enjoyed her hobby of working with crafts. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard W. and Minnie Traylor Stell and a brother, Leonard C. Stell. She is survived by her children, Robert L. Allen, Jr., Kitty Allen Dance and husband, Herbert, Jr., Louis James Allen and Timothy W. Allen and wife, Shirle; grandchildren, Robert L. Allen, III and wife, Kelly, Shannon Dance, Herbert Dance, III, Vinnie Rinker, Brian Allen and wife, Crystal, Roxanne Allen and Brandy Allen and their mother, Arlene Brown and husband, Dwayne; step-grandchildren, James E. Mayton, IV, Misty D. Mayton and Shawn P. Mayton; great-grandchildren, Jack Craig, Kayla Dance and her mother, Keri, Shana Craig, Alexis Moody and her father, Steve, Kylie Allen and Alyssa Dance and her mother, Whitney; brother, Elton W. Stell and wife, Roslyn; sister-in-law, Iris Coleman and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service tonight from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Blandford Cemetery. Shannon, Kitty, and family I just wanted you all to know how sorry I am for your loss. Your grandparents were very special people, and everone knew that. If there is anything you all need please let me know I am here for yall. there is no words that I can say to make it better and I dont know how you feel, but i do understand the way you all are feeling! Only time will heal the broken hearts you all have.. Just pray for strength from GOD and I know you will get through this terrible loss. Remember they are in a better place & you will meat again someday!!!!!!!
