Mary Louise Cox, age 76, of Richmond, VA died Saturday, July 15, 2006. Mrs. Cox was the daughter of the late Ben A. and Bessie Capps Mozingo. She was born in Johnson County, NC and raised in the Four Oaks and Smithfield, NC area. She had been a member of Kingsland Baptist Church of Richmond for 13 plus years. Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert L. Cox of Richmond; two sons, Robert D. Cox and wife Toni of Palmyra, VA and Danny E. Cox and wife Angela of Mechanicsville, VA; one grandchild, Kristen R. Cox of Mechanicsville; two sisters, Estelle Price of Richmond, and Doris Martin and husband Allen also of Richmond; a sister-in-law, Peggy Mozingo of Richmond; and three dear friends, Alberta Pierce, Kay Spivey, and Alice Jones. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Monday, July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions are made to Kingsland Baptist Church. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com

I was sorry to hear about your loss. I worked with her at Filtrona and my life was enriched by knowing her.Please except my deepest sympathy and know my prayers are with you and remember all the love and joy she brought into our lives. shirley

My name is Akia. I worked with Mrs. Cox at Lexingting Court Nursing home and I just want to say that Mrs. Cox was a lovely woman and I enjoyed working with her for the time she was there. I am sorry for your loss and my prayers are with everyone during this hard time. Just remember that your wife and mother is in a better place and she does not have to suffer anymore. May God Bless every member of the family.
