Michael Douglas Lewis, age 51, of Chesterfield, VA. died Sunday, July 2, 2006. Mr. Lewis was currently employed by Verizon as a Cable Splicer. He was a member of the Richmond Shag Club & the Ray of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. He also enjoyed fishing, playing golf, playing the guitar and was quite an accomplished karaoke singer. He was predeceased by his father Sidney F. Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Connie G. Lewis of Chesterfield; one son, Eric Parnell and wife Shiree of Chesterfield; a grandson Austin Parnell; two daughters, Gina M. Crider and husband Rob of Front Royal, VA, Jenny L Hilliard and husband Jon of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren, Logan Crider, and Jordon and Jacob Hilliard; a mother, Lucy H. Lewis of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, Bobby A. Lewis and wife Judy of Chester; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Thursday July 6, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday, July 7, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions are made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at www.cff.org then select a state & chapter. Well DADDY!!! It has been a month since you have passed. I miss you so much words can't explain!! I wanted you to know that Logan went potty on the big boy potty. You would be so proud of him!! He misses his PAPAW!!!! Every night we say the bed time prayer and he gives PAPAW and NANA kisses. He carries around yours and moms picture all the time. Oh and Rob is going to be hired Permanente in March. Great things are going to happen we are going to be able to move back. I promise you I will protect and make sure that Mom is ok!!! DADDY I love you and miss you very much
connie and family..heartfelt sympathy for the loss of mike. met him years ago when my sister worked for the lewis brothers, then years later when he came to work at verizon. i am tracie vaughan mom. she and her husband work there too. mike was a fine man that loved the Lord and his family and friends. i know your heart is broken but you know you will see him again. sincerely judy harris
