Gard, Elsie S.

Elsie Skellett Gard, 85, of Hopewell, died Monday, June 26, 2006 in Knoxville, TN. Mrs. Gard was born in Macedon, NY. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, the Wesley United Methodist Church and was the retired manager of the Anchor Room. Mrs. Gard was the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Marie Goers Bauer. She is survived by a daughter, Caroline Ann “Connie” Hanchey of Hopewell, a grandchild, Bart Hanchey and his wife Tracey of Nashville, TN, three great grandchildren, Ryan Counts, Cole Hanchey and Jack Hanchey, all of Nashville, TN, two brothers, Elmer Bauer of Palmyra, NY and Ken Bauer of Macedon, NY. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 2, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 3, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wayne Rickman, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating.
