Words cannot express the sadness felt right now.
I only heard of Ellen's passing last evening.
Ellen and I were friends that had unfortunately grown apart in the last several years. She's been in my thoughts often over the years. Thinking of her brings back such wonderful memories of laughter and fun.
We always had fun with everything we did even Wednesday nights spent doing laundry in Colonial Heights and grabbing dinner @ What A Burger! I remember traveling down to see Phyllis/Ricky one snowy day and getting our hair done b/c she refused to let anyone else touch that gorgeous hair!! She was a beautiful person inside and out and am so sorry I'll not get the chance to tell her what she meant to me. We got each other through difficult time w/love and laughter. I wish I'd been there for her this time.
I was unaware that she was so sick. It's strange that she's been in my thoughts so much the past several months. I wish I'd put more effort in to finding her. Until we meet again and I see your beautiful face and hear your laughter. Thank you for the memories, I'll cherish them always. God bless you all and I'm so sorry for this tremendous loss.
Thinking of you

Dear Family of Ellen,
I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Ellen's passing. I have not seen Ellen in a number of years, since she last lived on Grant Ave. I have many wonderful memories of Ellen riding the school bus to Jr and Sr High in Dinwiddie. I always looked up to Ellen and hope that since my name was also Ellen, that I would grow up looking like her. Ellen was always so beautiful and smiling. Full of life and activity. Again I am so sorry to hear of your loss but after reading the other condolences I feel like this was a blessing for her and the family. I hate to think of her ever being in pain, I can remember that life for her was not always great but NOW life is wonderful.
God Bless you all and may you feel Gods love surround you at all times.
Sincerely, Ellen Eley
There are some wonderful condolences here. For anyone interested, we also have a Care Page for Ellen. I did not realize they had this page when I made it, but since there are messages there I don't want to do away with it. You can go to www.CarePages.com and register and then click on visit a page and type in EllenGecseysPage --no punctuations, no spaces, and the E, G, and P are capitals.
I am sorry to be late with my condolence, but I just found out tonight that Ellen passed. I am so sorry for you guys and I was unaware that she was sick. I hope this message finds you all with some peace and comfort and I know Ellen will be sorely missed by all. I have very wonderful childhood memories of us all together and I will cherish those. And like others I will remember that curly, curly hair that people like me pay big bucks for and her smiles, giggles and carefree ways. Wishing you all the best.

Dear Phyllis & Bubba
I just found out about Ellen last night. I am so very sorry. I am very upset that I did not get to pay my respect in person. Ellen and I had so much fun growing up together in Myrick Acres. I can still see her curly hair and that smile that was always on her face. My thoughts are with both of you and your family.
Love,
Barbara "Hester" Pride
Bubba and Phyllis and Christy,
There're so many ways I'll always remember Ellen. I'll always rememeber how sweet, kind and compassionate she was. I've known her since she was a child and it has broken my heart to see her leave us at such a young age. She's had so many obstacles in her life but now her eternal life is peaceful and perfect. I'll always remember how beautiful her hair was and just what a kind young lady she was to everyone. Bubba and Phyllis, you take care and God bless you both.
Love always,
Ronnie and Fran Morgan

It's been rough, but she's out of pain now and we can be thankful for that. I'm so proud of you all for the way you all supported and helped her through it all. We have lots of wonderful memories of her. She was one classy lady. I'm so grateful that she was a part of my life.
Dear Christy, Phyllis, Bubba, Heather and Family,
My deepest sympathies are with you in this difficult time. I know this has been a long, hard struggle for Ellen and she fought it with such dignity. You all have been so supportive and your love for each other has really shown even before Ellen's illness.
I pray you'll find comfort in your memories and know that she's always with you and forever in your hearts.
I have found much comfort in this Bible verse:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
I will always remember her smile and the times she and I sat on her porch swing when we were neighbors, swapping plants and flowers and listening to her complain about that old car she she used to drive. She will be missed my many.
There will be many difficult days ahead (I know)
but somehow we find the strength that God gives us. That is what I Pray that God gives you the most of.
Sincerely, Kelly Finnegan

Dear Christy, Phyllis, Heather & Family,
We are so very sorry to hear of Ellen's death. You can have peace in knowing that she is in a much better place and she is no longer suffering and is free from pain. We send our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences to comfort each of you throughout the coming days. We have known Ellen a number of years as she once worked for our insurance agent. I continued to have contact with various members of her family through my work @ Carriage House Floral and Title Company of Virginia. This along with my sister Dawn having contact with Ellen & Christy, enabled me to keep up on her illness and progress. On a couple occasions I attempted to visit her in the hospital, but received news that she had gotten well enough to return home.
May God bless and comfort each of you in the days and hours ahead. You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all.
