Steven Patrick Best, 37, of Disputanta, died Thursday, June 15, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Hopewell and was the owner of his Company, Best-Home-Improvements. Mr. Best was preceded in death by his father Harvey Jackson Best, Sr. Surviving are his wife, Kimberly Gray Best, daughter, Faith Noelle Best, a son, Stone Jackson Best all of Disputanta, his mother, Joyce Best Lemon of Chester, one sister, Amber Roberts & husband Mark of Charlottesville, two brothers, Kevin Best & wife Renee of Chester, Harvey Best & wife Treasa of Hopewell, Father & Mother-in-law, Joseph & Gloria L. Gray, several aunts,uncles, nieces , nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 19, 2006 at Faith Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. George Dembeck, pastor, of Faith Baptist Church, Rev. James Maggard, pastor, Broadway Baptist Church and Harvey Best, interim pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church officiating; Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Va. Memorial Contributions may be made to Trust Fund For Children c/o Nathan Lee P.O. Box 200 Hopewell, Va. 23860. Condolences may be registered with www.j.t.morriss.com

I was a past member of Broadway and Joyce & Jackie & children lived next door to us in the old McClain house. I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I pray the Lord will give you comfort during this sad time.
Please send my condolences on to Joyce & her family also.

Some of the fondest memories of my youth are of running around with Steve, getting into this and that. I pray for God's grace to get his family through this trying time.
