Seymour, Maggie Stell

Maggie Stell “Nanny” Seymour, 91, of Petersburg died Friday, June 2, 2006 in Southside Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Petersburg and daughter of the late Charles Ballard and Mary Virginia Stell. She was preceded in death by two children, Joyce S. Jordan and Frederick “Fritzy” Seymour. She is survived by six children, Dorothy S. Jordan, Ernestine S. Garrett, Barbara S. Mohn, Ronald Seymour, Randy Seymour and Phillip Seymour; a brother, Grover Stell; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous children who knew her as “Nanny”. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Elvis Stephens of Crater View Baptist Church officiating.
