Grammer, Harvey L.

Mr. Harvey Lee Grammer, 80, of Hopewell, died at his residence on Monday, May 22, 2006.
Mr. Grammer, a native of Hopewell and a veteran of the US Navy, was a retired piper fitter and operator for Allied-Chemical Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Lee and Effie Omega Sheffield Grammer and a sister. Katy G. Clayton. Surviving are his wife, Adelia Davis Grammer, of Hopewell, three daughters, Mary Ellen Smith and husband, Billy, of Chesterfield, Sheryl A. McCall and husband, John, of Hopewell, Cindy G. Waymack and husband, Warren, of Prince George, one son, Mark E. Grammer and wife, Kathy, of Shepherdstown, West Virginia, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Betty E. Woodard of Raleigh, NC and Helen Maitland of Hopewell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 23, 2006, from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Ray Anglea, of Faith Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
