Gladwell, Daisy V.

Mrs. Daisy Virginia Gladwell, 84, of Hopewell, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Riverview on the Appomattox. Mrs. Gladwell was born in Bluefield, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas A. and Fanny Boyd Neal, her husband, Boyd Leonard Gladwell, two daughters, Brenda Sue Gladwell, and Carolyn D. Gladwell and a son, Russell G. Gladwell. Survivors include five sons, Cecil L. Gladwell of Raleigh, NC, Douglas A. Gladwell and wife, Jerry, James D. Gladwell, Kenny R. Gladwell and wife, Geraline, and Robert E. Gladwell and wife, Donna Jane, all of Hopewell; three daughters Priscilla Gail Miller, Kathy M. Hughes and husband, Steven, and Norma J. Gladwell and friend, James Lowery all of Hopewell, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2006, at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 2:00 p.m. with The Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Interment will be private.
