Jones, Clara

Mrs. Clara Marie Jones, 72, of Hopewell, died Sunday, April 30, 2006. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents Harry L. and Lonieta West Berger. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold Lloyd “Bud” Jones of Hopewell, two sons, James Robert Jones, and wife Teresa, of Prince George, and Randall L. Jones and wife, Mary Anne, of Hopewell; a daughter, Katie Jones of Mechanicsville; four grandchildren, Charles Michael Jones, and wife, Mary, of Hopewell, Brian Robert Jones, USN, of Virginia Beach, James Ryan “Jay” Jones of Prince George, and Sarah Michelle Jones of Independence, VA; four Great-grandchildren and a sister, Dot Bane of Chester. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 2, 2006 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Wednesday May 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Appomattox Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Joe Ivey officiating.
