Satterfield, Elbert E.

Elbert Eugene Satterfield, 79, of Hopewell died Friday, April 7, 2006 in John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in Charleston, IL and had been a resident of this area since 1966. Mr. Satterfield was retired from the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He was the son of the late Elbert & Viola Calhoun Satterfield. Mr. Satterfield is survived by his wife, Odette G. Satterfield, three sons, Gary S. Satterfield, David L. Satterfield and Eric E. Satterfield and his wife Mim, all of Hopewell, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, two sisters, Thelma Myers, Martha Prince, two brothers, John Satterfield and his wife Donna, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Satterfield all of Charleston, IL, and Leroy Satterfield and his wife Edith of Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends Monday, April 10, 2006 from 7:00 PM to 8:30PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. James Maggard, pastor of Broadway Baptist Church officiating.
