Mayton, Jessie A.Thursday, March 23, 2006
Jessie Ann Mayton, 90, of Hopewell died Thursday, March 23, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Brunswick County, VA and had been a resident of Hopewell for many years. Miss Mayton was a member of First United Methodist Church and a retired operator for Celanese, Corporation. She was the daughter of the late Clinton & Maggie Powers Mayton. Miss Mayton is survived by two sisters, Julia H. Pulley of Hopewell, Ruth E. Drewery and her husband Harry of Franklin, one niece, Peggy P. Ford and her husband Stuart, of Richmond, two nephews, David W. Carter of Hopewell, Ronnie A. Carter, of New York, 1 great niece, Wendy D. McCallum, 1 great, great niece Madison S. McCallum and a great, great nephew J. Kegan McCallum, all of Richmond. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 26, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Monday, March, 27, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bill Wash, pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com Condolences
You were the best Aunt anyone could have ever asked for! No matter what, you always had a smile on your face ... you will forever be remembered for that. I am so grateful for you being part of my life, Madison getting to know you and for you to have held Kegan during his first days of life. I can't begin to tell you how much you will be missed!
