Nancy Alice Colgin, 84, a former resident of Claremont, VA, passed away at her home in Norfolk on March 8, 2006. Born July 25, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Blandford Colgin, Sr. and Nannie Daugherty Colgin. Nancy retired as a Depot Supply Clerk with the Norfolk Naval Base after 35 years of service. She was a member of Claremont United Methodist Church and after graduating from Claremont High School she moved to Norfolk.

Ms. Colgin is survived by a nephew, Elderson Harvey Colgin, Jr. of Claremont; and three nieces, Sandra Colgin Snow of Richmond, Rosemary Williams of Waycross, GA, and Pat Cullison of Port Orange, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, with the Rev. Ray Rowland officiating. Interment will follow in Claremont Cemetery, Claremont, VA. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
