Condolences

Dear Family,
My condolences go out to all the family. I met Mrs. Baker when she worked a Social Services. I loved talking to her about the Lord. We wrote to each other for many years, and in the letters she always expressed such a deep love for her family. She will be missed, but the good news is we'll see her again in heaven. May God Bless you all real good
love

My father, N.C.Clifton, was the pastor of Moore's Swamp Baptist Church when I was a child. I fondly remember visiting in the Baker home, enjoying being with everyone so much. An ideal Sunday afternoon for me was getting to go to the Baker home and stay until time for Sunday evening events a church. At this time, I am thinking of the Baker family which is dealing with the reality of the loss of Mabury, a lovely person who was able to make you feel very special. My Mother, Mary, who is almost 88 and lives near me in Richmond, joins me in sending condolences to you and celebrating the lives of both Mabury and Charlie Baker, favorite people in our memories from our treasured days in Surry County. Would love to hear you and reconnect.

Our prays and thoughts are with you and your family. Mrs Baker will always be greatly missed and remembered by our family. When we first moved in across the street from her she was the first to welcome us and always invited my children over to talk to them and bake them cookies. She is truely a wonderful person.
