Davis, Eva D.

Eva Daniel Davis, 83, of Chester, went to be with her husband, Thomas W. Davis, Friday, February 17, 2006. Born in Dinwiddie County, she was the daughter of the late Herman C. and Viola Kelly Daniel. Mrs. Davis retired after over 25 years of civil service at Fort Lee. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kathleen Pollok and two sisters, Marlene Clements and Hilda Beville. Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Nancy Kelly Davis Pollok and husband, Ben of Urbanna, VA, Gordon Wade Davis of Chester, and Wendy Davis Braithwaite and husband, Jim of Southern Shores, NC; grandchildren, Thomas H. B. Pollok, Andrea Davis, Daniel Wade Davis, Emma Grace Braithwaite, and Hunter Braithwaite; great-grandchildren, Patrick Davis and Kathryn Davis; brothers, Herman C. Daniel of Richmond, William B. Daniel and Arthur C. Daniel both of Dinwiddie, and Robert G. Daniel of Chester; and a sister, Christine Amabile of Colonial Heights. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM Tuesday, February 21, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the mausoleum at Southlawn Memorial Park.
