Holt, Ada L. H.

Ada Lucille Helmick Holt, 73, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2006 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Baker, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Lee Helmick and Ada Kessner Helmick. She had worked for Safeway Food Stores for a number of years. Lucille is survived by her loving husband, Horace Holt; two daughters, Tina Holt and Pam Holman of Woodford; daughter-in-law, Jennifer M. Holt; grandchildren, Phillip Holman and Taylor Holman; godson, Tony Holt; two sisters, Carol Parker of Petersburg, WV, and Norma Jean Fisher of Wardensville, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Michael Holt, three brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. William E. Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
