Mrs. Evelyn Fisher “Tinky” Ivey, 86, of Hopewell, died Saturday, February 11, 2006. She is survived by her husband, The Rev. Dr. Joseph B. Ivey, daughters, Sandra Kay Sykes and Cathy Gayle Davis, step-son Joseph B. Ivey, Jr. grandchildren Catherine Hope Davis and Jonathan Evans Davis, sister, Jo M. Mayfield and sisters-in-law, Thelma Ivey Collins and Don Rea Fisher. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2006, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, in First Baptist Church, Hopewell at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Raymond, pastor, Officiating. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 401 N. Second Avenue, Hopewell, VA 23860, or to The Baptist Children’s Home and Family Services, P.O.Box 849, Salem VA. 24153. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com

Like so many, my heart and prayers are with each of you. Tinky was the kind of person that made everyone and everywhere better people & better places to be. I loved her & I will really miss her. God's love & peace be with you each of you. I love you.
