Schorer, MildredSaturday, February 11, 2006
Mildred Schorer, age 89, of Chester, VA passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2006. Mrs. Schorer had lived in the Chester area for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, the Village Women’s Club, Hopewell Garden Club, and the Antique Study Group. She is survived by her husband, Clifford J. Schorer, Sr. of Chester; three children, Cliff Schorer of Greenwich, CT.; Judy Sheridan of Greenlawn, NY; and Kathi Keating of Freeport, NY; a brother, Joseph Wulfken of Plainview, NY.; nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 1:00 p.m. at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be held in Westbury, NY at a later date. To the Schorer Family: From my volunteer work at Bon Secours Retirement Community, i got to know Mrs. Schorer quite well. She was a lady with class who had dignity and respect for everyone. She was charming, witty, and my only worry now is for Mr. Schorer. I know he will miss his Millie dearly. To the Mildred Schorer Family, We were former neighbors and friends of Mildred and Cliff. We lived on Surry Place -- the cul de sac next to Surry Court. We are so very sorry to hear of Mildred's death. We did not know about it until after the funeral or we would have been there to speak with you in person. Mildred was a lovely and gracious lady. We will certainly miss her We feel a very personal loss. Our concern is now with her family, especially Cliff. Is he doing alright? We drop in at the nursing home from time to time, but we don't think he knows us. We are close by and if we can assist you with him in any way, please let us know.
