Walter V. Grosvenor, 90, of Colonial Heights, formerly of Ashland, died Thursday, February 02, 2006. He was a retired distribution clerk for the Railway Postal Service and U. S. Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII. He is survived by a daughter; Suzanne Sharpe of Bumpass, four sons; Dr. John Grosvenor of Albemarle, N. C., Bruce W. Grosvenor of Colonial Heights, David M. Grosvenor of Ashland and Christopher G. Grosvenor of Bumpass; nine grandchildren, a great granddaughter and a brother, Dr. Clark Grosvenor of Pisgah Forest, N.C.. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 6, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke & Our Lady of Walsingham Anglican Catholic Church, 555 River Rd., Manakin � Sabot, VA 23103. We extend to you, as members of your work family and people who are experiencing the same type of situtation, famiy wise, as you did, our deepest sympathy. You have been a most faithful son in caring for your father and should have no regrets to think about. Your father's travel on this earth has ended and we know that he never knew the love and compassion you extended to him in his final years but what an example you have set for others to follow.
