Lancelot L. Bradner, Jr., age 82, of Chester, passed away January 28, 2006. He was a retired Foreman with Allied Chemical Company in Chesterfield. Mr. Bradner was born and raised on a tobacco farm in Yanceyville, N.C. and was the son of the late Lancelot L. and Eunice S. Bradner. He was a WWII Veteran who served in England with the Army Air Corps. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nadine Bradner of Chester; two children, Jeffrey B. Bradner and wife Mary of Chester, and Sydney Payne and husband John of Midlothian, VA; five grandchildren, Blake, Patrick, and Andrew Bradner, and Brad and Nathan Payne; a sister, Mabel Pleasant and husband John, of Yanceyville, N.C.; and two brothers, Dorsey Bradner and wife Mary of Yanceyville, N.C., and John Bradner and wife Anne of Greenville, SC. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Chester, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., on Tuesday, January 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside funeral services will be held at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville, VA at a later date.
