Gips, Madeline J.

Madeline Johnston Gips, 83, of Prince George County, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2006 at her residence. Born in the Town of Smithfield, NY, she was the daughter of the late Claude L. and Thelma Pratt Johnston. She is survived by her husband, Cornelus Jan Gips of Prince George, VA and Morrisville, NY; daughters, Linda Pasiak of Vernon, NY, Marsha Ames and husband, Richard of Eaton, NY, Joan Wilson and husband, Shawn of Munnsville, NY and CMSGT Betsy Gips of Dunkirk, MD; son, David Gips of Provincetown, MA and Goa, India; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 PM Monday, January 23 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday at Unity Baptist Church, Prince George. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice, 840 W.
