Laura Mae Chiarky, 65, of Doswell, Va., died, Thursday, January 19, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Chase City, Virginia. Mrs. Chiarky was District Sales Manager with Avon Products, Inc., a member of the Hopewell Woman’s Club and First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Boyce and Lillie Virginia York Faggart. Surviving are her husband, Ronald Chiarky of Doswell, three daughters, Tonya Gayle Stokes of Hopewell, Rhonda Lynne Stokes of Colonial Heights, Marcy Chiarky Combs of Henrico, a son, Jeffrey Stuart Stanley Stokes of Hopewell, five grandchildren, two brothers, John B. York of Chester, Edward B. Faggart of Chesterfield. The family will receive friends Friday, January 20, 2006 from 7-8:30 in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Flordelise, Iterim pastor of Kingsland Baptist Church, Chesterfield Co. officiating. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery, Condolences may be registered with www jtmorriss.com

Our deepest sympathies to Laura's family. She was a very loving person and dedicated to those who worked with her in Avon and made everyone feel important. Her vitality, energy, and her understanding of those around her will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. May God give you all the peace of heart that you so desparately seek at this time.

Ron and family
Dad alerted us that Laura Mae had passed away. So sorry to hear of your loss. Cancer is such a horrible disease - I lost my mom to it at 60 seven years ago. Sorry we cannot be there to share condolences with you in person. We will keep all of you in out thoughts and prayers. Take care,
