Ruffin, George

George E. Ruffin, age 85 of Chester, VA. Died Tuesday, January 10, 2006. He was a retired aid with the McGuire VA Medical Center and former Chief of the Chester volunteer fire department. He was also involved in the Civilian Conservation Corp. and active in the Chester Methodist Church. He served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Panama. Mr. Ruffin is survived by a wife, Charlotte B. Ruffin and two children, Beverly Buccola and husband Allan of Prince George, Va., and George Ruffin, Jr. and wife Trisha of Chester. Five grandchildren, Celeste Buccola of Prince George, Allan Buccola and wife Jaimee of Greensboro, N.C., Justin and Hunter Pearson, and Jessica Allen all of Chester. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Friday, January 13, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. where funeral services will follow on Saturday, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Chesterfield.
