Jack Powers Dance, 75, of Hopewell, died Thursday, January 5, 2006 at Chippenham Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Born in Bedford County he was preceded in death by his parents, William Bryan and Faye Powers Dance and a granddaughter, Beth Strother. He is survived by a son, Jack P. Dance, II, a step-son, Douglas R. Strother, II, two grandsons, Bryan Dance and Douglas R. Strother, III and a brother, Bill Dance. A graveside service will held on Sunday, January 8, 2006 at 2:00 pm in Wood’s United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forest Avenue Suite 100, Richmond, Virginia 23226. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
