Perkinson, Elsie P.

Elsie P. Perkinson, 84, of Dinwiddie, died Sunday, January 1, 2006. She was the daughter of the late James and Eva Parham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Perkinson and a sister, Birdie Moody. She is survived by a daughter, Becky Pierce and husband, Ronnie Pierce; granddaughter, Judy Pierce; sisters, Emily Brown and Edna Brown all of Dinwiddie; a very dedicated brother-in-law, Neil Moody of Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Perkinson leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories with her neighbors, Donald and Francene Schmidt, Elsie Veazey, their children and grandchildren, Betty Hicks and her children and grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 4, at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Tuesday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family would like to thank Hopewell Health Care Center for all of their kindness and extends a special thank you to the following nurses: Raushauna Parham, Doll Parham, Rosalyn Brown, Judy Duncan, and Angela Fransico.
