Schrader, Richard C.

Richard Calvin Schrader, 76, of Midlothian died Sunday, December 11, 2005 at his home. He was a medic in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a retired letter carrier for the U. S. Postal Service after which he worked part time for the past ten years at Kings Dominion. He attended Kingsland Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion Post 0038 and the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch # 496. He is survived by his wife, Peggy A. Schrader; daughter, Gena Carol Brown and her husband, Steve of Chester; aunt, Marjorie Crispell of Cantonment, FL; sister-in-law, Janet Vaughan of Richmond; nephew, Kenneth N. Vaughan of Richmond; and several cousins. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The family will have a private burial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
