Whitchurch, Jean M.Tuesday, December 06, 2005
Jean Marie Whitchurch, 55 of Petersburg was called home on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. She was preceded in death by her father Fred Ray Upchurch. She is survived by her mother, Katherine Baker Whitchurch of Petersburg and sister, Carol Louise Hogwood and husband, Ronald T. of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, December 9, 2005 with the Rev. Ben Thomas and Rev. Ron Hopkins officiating at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery. Mrs. Whitchurch, I just found out the other day that Jean Marie passed away. I am so sorry to hear that and wanted to let you know how much I loved her. I remember as a child when i lived on Beech Street, I used to stop by yall's house and talk with her. She always had so many interesting things to talk about. I never saw Jean Marie without a smile on her face and God is very lucky to get such a beautiful and loving angel to be with him. My sister, Cindy Wolfrey passed away in 2002 at the age of 45 with breast cancer and I know in my heart that her and Jean Marie are walking Heaven together. Cindy has someone in Heaven now to talk to. Let me know if you need anything. My number is in the book under Buddy and Dale Alter.
